35-day Thai prayer-focus
WEEK 1: REAPING THE HARVEST (November 27-December 3, 2006)
Day 1 (Nov. 27): Ask God to purify our lives and motives for the outreach. As our vessels are clean & pure more of God’s Holy Spirit power and love can flow through us. Read Ps. 139:23-24 Ask for more of God’s love to be revealed to you & through you.
Day 2 (Nov.28): Read Ps. 133 God commands His blessing when we are in unity. Pray for a unity among all levels of those involved in outreaches i.e. organizing committee, cell groups, children’s church, pastors, etc.
Day 3 (Nov.29): Pray Ps. 91 as a protection for everyone involved who is preparing for the outreach. Also pray for protection for those who are specifically invited.
Day 4 (Nov.30): Read 2 Cor. 4:4 Pray that the veil that is covering the pre-believers hearts and eyes will be lifted so that they will be able to see the glorious light of the gospel of Christ.
Day 5 (Dec.1): Pray that the pre-believers will hunger after the truth. That they will know the truth and the truth will set them free. So they can really be Thai!
Day 6 (Dec.2): Pray for those who respond to Christ will have a good foundation laid in their new spiritual walk. That they will be able to have good follow up and good growth and reach maturity.
Day 7 (Dec.3): Thank God for the opportunity to share in this free country. Ask for signs and wonders to confirm the Word that is shared. As Paul shared in 1 Cor. 2:1-5 pray that it will not be with clever words but the Holy Spirit that convicts the people’s hearts.
WEEK 2: CITY TRANSFORMATION (December 4-10, 2006)
Day 1 (Dec.4): Read Genesis 12, 26:1-17. Ask the Lord to give you a revelation of the power of blessings! Bless the churches and pastors in the city of Chiang Mai
Day 2 : December 5 (The king’s birthday)
Read 1 Tim 2:1-4 Pray for the royal family. Bless the royal family.
Day 3 (Dec.6): 1 Tim 2:1-4 Bless our Mayor, Governor, elected officials. Pray that God will give them wisdom to rule here.
Day 4 (Dec.7): Agree with God’s word that Chiang Mai will be a miracle city. There will be miracles health, finances, relationship and spiritual salvation. That the redemptive value of Chiang Mai will be even more evident next year as we see God moving and choose to work with Him.
Day 5 (Dec.8): Read Joshua 5:13-15. Even though Joshua had been with Moses 40 years, Joshua had to have his own revelation of who God was before he moved forward. Enter into a new dimension of humility for God’s divine leading in your life. Pray for the Christians in Chiang Mai to have their own revelation of who God is and a new desire to zealously follow Him.
Day 6 (Dec.9): Read Joshua 6 and 7. We all have our Jericho. That is the invincible place we have to face before we can advance into our promise. Do not be afraid to face that which seems invincible to you. Do not see the impossibilities of Chiang Mai but remember what God can do with our Jerichos.
Day 7 (Dec.10): Read II Kings 2. Elisha was willing to follow to the end so he could SEE the supply that was in Heaven. Don’t quit pursuing until you get to the end of a thing. Pray that the Christians in Chiang Mai will preserve until the end.
WEEK 3: NATIONAL REVIVAL (December 11-17, 2006)
Day 1 (Dec.11): Read Psalm 37 (esp. vs. 1-9, 29-37). Build this revelation into your life. Do not fret because of evil around you. Ask to inherit the land.
Day 2 (Dec.12): Read I Kings 17-18 This is a time for nations to change. Be like Elijah and legislate the heavens. Move with God from provision to provision. Ask the Lord for a great awareness of the Word of the Lord! Watch for a time to intercede.
Day 3 (Dec.13): Read Joel 2: 28,29 The youth are going to wake up on university campuses. A new holiness movement will spring up. Teachers will teach about holiness and preach against sin and the fear of the Lord will fall upon many. New young firebrands will preach holiness to their generation.
Day 4 (Dec.14): This is the closing of one chapter in our lives and the beginning of a new season. Don’t hold onto the old when God wants to move you into the new. Complete in 2006, so you can move into the new things in 2007
Day 5 (Dec.15): Read Nehemiah 4. Find your place in the gap and on the wall. Governments are changing. This is the time to rebuild nations. Listen carefully for the Lord’s trumpet! Review your weapons of war. Evaluate your troops or staff. Keep building in the midst of confusion.
Day 6 (Dec.16): Read Proverbs 27:17 Pray that many relationships among Thai church pastors/leaders/Christian workers/missionaries that are now clashing will become flashing “two-edged” swords forged together by the Spirit. Pray as God forges them into
‘two-edged’ swords, the swords will sever roots of the strongholds of division over families, churches, cities, and nations!
Day 7 (Dec.17): Prov 2:1-9 Pray for the current government that they will have the wisdom needed to begin the transformation of this nation.
WEEK 4 PERSONAL REFLECTION, RESTORING VISION (December 18-24, 2006)
Day 1 (Dec.18): Read Mark 8:22-26. Cry out for new vision and allow the Lord to lead you from an old, familiar place. Jesus led the blind man out of town to heal him. The first time He touched his eyes, vision formed but was not clear.
Day 2 (Dec.19): Read Mark 8:22-26 AGAIN. Cry out for clear vision! Notice the process of vision. Allow clarity to come into your vision.
Day 3 (Dec.20): Read Habakkuk 1. Habakkuk means “embrace.” To embrace, you must let go of one thing in order to passionately grab hold of something else. Ask the Lord about certain things that have hindered you in the past, and then receive a watchman anointing so you can peer into what God has for you in the future.
Day 4 (Dec.21): Read Hab. 2 and 3, especially 2:1- 4 and 3: 1, 2, 17-19. Write your new and refined vision. Ask God for a revived heart. Look down at your feet and see that God is giving you hind’s feet to leap on high places.
Day 5 (Dec.22): :Memorize Proverbs 29:18 (paraphrased): “Where there is no vision, redemptive revelation of God, prophetic utterance, or restrained boundaries, the people perish. But he who keeps the law of God, which includes that of man, will be happy, fortunate and enviable.” Also read 1 Samuel 3 and Amos 8:11-12.
Day 6 (Dec.23): Read Revelation 4. A door is a place for leaving as well as entering. There are some things we need to leave behind. Make a list of the doors you need to shut. See certain doors in your life, ministry and future that are in transition. Get a new vision of the throne room of Heaven. Let the Lord say to you, “Come up here.” Let Him show you your open doors. Let Him now show you your future.
Day 7(Dec.24): Read John 9:13-41. Do not be afraid of confrontations. Sometimes questions and conflicts establish vision and your relationships for the future.
WEEK 5 ¬ NEXT YEAR – 2007(December 25-31, 2006)
Day 1 (Dec.25 ): Read Revelation 5. Declare that the Lamb is worthy. Read this chapter out loud! Worship the Lord! He has invaded the atmosphere of the land around you! Thank Him that Heaven has invaded your earthly domain and the fragrance of heaven is overpowering your situations and conflicts.
Read Psalms 149, 150. Take some time to praise God for all that He has done for you and your ministry. Let us enter the New Year with thanksgiving and a reminder of what God has done and how great He really is.
Day 2 (Dec.26): Read Proverbs 18:21 Our tongue is very powerful. We can speak life or death to our plans for the coming year. Reflect on God’s promises to you and what He has promised in His word. Remind yourself that these promises will be available all through next year.
Day 3 (Dec.27): Read Psalms 33:8-12 We need to have an increased fear of the Lord. Ask ourselves if there is some area in our life that is not in awe of God and we are living in sin. Secondly, God has plans for Thailand and we want to be a nation whose God is the Lord. Pray for Thailand to be a godly nation and that God’s counsel will rule.
Day 4 (Dec.28): Read Matt. 5:43-48 God has good plans for you as well as this nation. Our enemy knows that and will try to stir up problems among those we are in relationship with. Ask God for the strategy to open the hearts of those you need to be reconciled with.
Day 5 (Dec.29): Read John 13:23; 1 John 4.. The Body of Christ is coming into a deeper understanding of the depth of the love of God Pray that sinners will come to understand the love of Christ through the church. We will learn to love the lost without condemnation; yet keeping the righteous plumbline of God’s word.
Day 6 (Dec.30): Read Phil 4:15-23 God has promised to supply our every need. Finances will be released in a greater measure to be able to allow the Body of Christ to disciple nations. Influence will be a key word for the church. Purpose to be a blessing through giving this coming year. Ask God for his blessing on your work, your home, your office, your projects and your family. Decree that the blessing of God will overtake anything that has come against you in the past.
Day 7 (Dec.31): Watch for the trap of fornication and adultery as this is a year of purifying motives and holiness in thought and actions. Read Ezra 4,8,9. Do not allow the enemy’s resistance to keep you from moving toward restoration. Ask the Lord to show you when to fast for three straight days.
