In touch with nature
I had two brushes with nature this weekend. The first was a frog that was sleeping in a towell that I picked up in the bathroom. Fortunately it jumped out before I got the towel onto my face…yuk. The second was when I was just going into the outside door of the school on Saturday afternoon. I felt a thump on my head and then a long green thing about 3ft long landed at my feet. Once it had got its bearings the snake, which must have been sleeping over the door, slithered off into the bushes.
I have never had a snake land on my head before but it was not as bad as it sounds. It was just as surprised as I was! Anyhow - I live to tell the tale… they do say the brighter the colour the more unpleasant they are, and that over 90% of the snakes here are venomous!
